Bakpao, China Traditional Food

Bakpao is one of traditional food from China. originated from the Hokkien language, Pao which means "bundle", and Bak, which means meat, so bakpao are "pack (contains) meat". The food is much preferred because of the softness of the texture, so the bakpao become the choice of many people to be consumed as a bread substitute. But have to know the material and the manufacturing process?

Ingredients :
200 grams of wheat flour
100 gr starch flour
200 ml of liquid milk
1 teaspoons baking powder
10 gr yeast
1 tablespoons cooking oil
200 gr minced meat
1 cloves of sliced onion
6 cloves of garlic
2 tablespoons oyster sauce
2 tablespoons soy sauce
sugar, black pepper and salt to taste
3 tablespoons cooking oil


How to make :

Finely sliced ​​onions and  garlic.
Heat oil, saute onion and garlic until fragrant.
Add onions, then stir until blended.
Enter the minced meat and stir until meat changes color.
Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, black pepper powder and salt. Cook until the spices to infuse.
Then add the cornstarch solution (1 tbsp cornstarch + 3 tbsp cold water), stirring until so thick. Turn off heat, remove and set aside.


How to make bakpao filled with minced meat:

Mix flour, starch flour, milk sugar, and baking powder, add the milk, stirring until blended.
Then add salt, stirring until smooth and then knead until dough is smooth and elastic bakpao into.
